About Me

Rio Glowasky graduated from Alberta College of Art and Design (ACAD) in 2005 with a major in glass blowing, and continues to experiment with a variety of mediums such as painting, ceramics, and visual communications.  Rio’s practice is architecturally inspired and often reflects a colorful and fun approach through its bright color palette and elements from nature.

Rio has been a graphic artist since 2006 after obtaining her Publishing Certificate from Mount Royal University. She has extensive experience in advertising and layout after working in the publishing and marketing industry, specializing in oil and gas, for 12 years. Rio has been consulting through IT’S-A-RIO Art and Design Services since 2007.
